Eleven years after her sister Holly disappeared, Lilac Winters experiences the most significant day of her life. Firstly, she meets Valentina, a funeral home heiress, and quickly realizes she's the love of her life. Later that same day, Lilac discovers that an ancient winter goddess named Frau Holle, a leader of the mythological Wild Hunt, was likely the mysterious old woman she encountered the night Holly vanished.
With her new girlfriend Valentina and her best friend Faye by her side, Lilac must face the unsettling truth: an eldritch amalgamation of Odin's Valkyries, Spanish saints, Japanese Yōkai, and more is not only real, but also deeply invested in her past. As their unlikely group grows, they begin to uncover the truth behind Holly's disappearance and the true nature of The Wild Hunt.
